Hi Tcat62, we are always here for you! Keep up the positive outlook and great work. You are on the right path.
Dealing with Internet porn addiction is extremely difficult, so I'd like to suggest a few ideas that might be helpful for you. First, I've always found that knowledge is power. This is particularly true when it comes to any kind of sexual addiction. And the quickest and easiest way to learn about sexual addiction is to read a few books on the subject. So, I'm going to suggest you read the following two (2) books to get you started:
"Out of the Shadows: Understanding Sexual Addiction", by Patrick J. Carnes, Ph.D. This was the first book ever written about sexual addiction, and it is still the best one out there. And just for your information, Dr. Carnes is considered by most experts in the field of sexual addiction to be the "father" of the whole sexual addiction recovery movement in this country.
"In the Shadows of the Net: Breaking Free of Compulsive Online Sexual Behavior", by Patrick J. Carnes, Ph.D., David L. Delmonico, Ph.D., Elizabeth Griffin, Ph.D., and Joseph M. Moriarty. This book deals specifically with the very issue you are facing.
Both of these books can be ordered directly from: www.amazon.com.
My other idea would be to install some type of Internet filter that would prohibit you from going on porn sites. There is a lockout code that can be set on the filter, and the code should be given to and controlled by your accountability partner. (THIS SHOULD NOT BE YOUR SPOUSE). Your accountability partner will be able to access at any time a listing of all of the websites you have visited, and can thereby serve as a check and balance to your Internet activity. They talk in quite a bit more depth about such filters in the second book I suggested above, "In the Shadows of the Net".
So those would be my suggestions to get you started. I hope something here helps.
