A better view of americans diet

While not a “diet” in the sense you may be thinking, the American Diet is one that millions of people follow, mostly unaware, for the majority of their lives. The bad part is, this easily followed “diet” isn’t doing us any good. If anything, it’s contribution to the high rates of obesity and mortality that we are experiencing in this country.

The American Diet has large amounts of sodium, sugar, simple carbs, and bad fats, which include the worst offender, trans fat. We consume these by the plateful almost every time we go out to eat. Unfortunately as Americans, we eat out a lot.

If we can learn how to eat less of these bad nutrients, and more of the healthy ones, we will unlock the largest component to a healthy lifestyle. with us a very important subject. This is a very good statement about people eating out. When we go out to eat , we do not think about components of the food, but about the taste and the company that we are with. Thank you for this information.

Talking about salt, sweets and etc., it is up to us to take control into our hands. It is not that easy, but it can be done slowly and with time, until we get use to different taste.

that true marcie. we do have to make changes slowly, and also pay attention to when we go to restaurants and be careful with portions/etc. its soo much easier to cook at home and control what’s in our food.
