WELL I WAS JUST SITTING HERE TRYING TO THINK OF SOME INTERESTING DISCUSSIONS THAT WE CAN TALK ABOUT & ABORTION CAME TO MY MIND..I LOVE GETTING OTHER PEOPLES OPINION ON THIS SUBJECT, ESPECIALLY..WHAT IF YOU WHERE RAPED? WHEN DO YOU THINK ITS OK TO HAVE AN ABORTION? OR NOT?
Oh dear you may open a can of worms on this one......lets begin.....Abortion is a womens right,decision & choice if she chooses to do so.

I don't know if I'd ever be able to have one. I don't think I personally could but I don't think that gives me the right to tell others what to do. I believe in the right to choose because it makes it safer and the clinics have to follow protocol and be clean and everything. A woman that wants an abortion will find a way to get one whether it's legal or illegal but then she might try insafe methods to abort or go to sleezy doctors "back alley abortions" as they were called and get infections or die or have it done wrong and in dirty conditions etc. so I think it should be legal and many women that have abortions have been raped and sometimes by a member of the family! so why should they be forced to have a rape baby if they don't want to or an incest baby which is just traumatizing. rape is traumatizing enough as it is without the extra trauma of having to carry your rapist's baby...

I don't support Abortion, I don't want to get into a political debate I'll just say it bothers me morally, not crapping on anyone else's morals who does believe in abortion I'm just simply stating my opinion.
I'm only in favor of it under two conditions:
1. The pregnant woman was raped/sexually assaulted and believes the baby is her attacker's.
OR
2. Due to a pre-existing/newly inherited health condition the pregnancy will likely severely sicken and/or kill the mother
I feel abortion is a women's right to choose. I think it would always be a hard decision-and personally I have no idea what I would choose if ever in that situation but I am a firm believer that it is a women's right to decide at least under the 3rd trimester. We should not inflict our own moral beliefs on others.
I know the above post was aimed at me. A lot what determines are political views are our morals, So while I may be inflicting my moral beliefs upon you, you're doing the exact same.
I was date raped and got pregnant. I can not express what it is like to have that happen. I thought about having the baby and giving it up for adoption. But due to medical issues of my own, and family history I knew about the man, there was a small chance the baby would even live long enough to be born, and even if she did, there was a slim chance that she wouldn't have one of many medical issues passed on to her causing a horrible life.
So I got it "taken care of". It was the most painful thing, both physically and mentally that I have ever gone through. I can only imagine that Hell is similar. She would have turned 3 this past month. My physical wounds are healed. There's always a chance of not being able to get pregnant again, but I haven't gotten it checked yet. The people in my life were not supportive. So I never had the chance to grieve. So I'm left to sit here alone at night and wonder what color her hair would be. What kind of foods she would and wouldn't like. Could she have turned out to be a medical miracle and be born 100% healthy? I just don't get to know those things.
I've always been for women's rights and the right to choose. But I thought I could never have that done. But here we are. Now I just have to wait until death to see if God will answer me on if I did the right thing, and if I've gained his forgiveness.
But I know in my heart, this world wasn't ready for her yet.

I am personally against abortion unless in cases of rape or incest but i do feel a women has a right to choose (at least in first trimester) and I am pro-choice! No matter what that is a hard decision-and people have a right to do what is best for them.
I think women have the right to choose birthcontrol or abstinence. We are a nation of no personal accountability. Abortion is wrong in my opinion. My first son very wonderful that he is is a result of rape. This he will never know. If rape can be established then an abortion would be okay in my opinion. To many women use abortion as birthcontrol, that also is wrong. Be responsible for your actions people. At the end of the day abortion is murder and it is our maker who will have the final say.
