I'm wondering if anyone has been to or knows of Adderall specific addiction meetings or support groups? I am in the NYC area and have been to NA meetings, but would like to find an in-person support system for people specifically dealing with Adderall addiction.
Does such a thing exist?

Hi Jhm2011, have you tried researching options online? I don't know of any specific support groups for Adderall addiction in New York. Another idea may be to contact a treatment center and ask for a referral? Please let me know if there's anything that I can do to help.

I have been through 12 rehabs after addiction to sleeping pills and sedatives. I have never had depression, panic and anxiety attacks prior to addiction to the benzos. The rehabs in Michigan "suck". There are no rehabs that know how to deal with benzos. I overdosed 3 times on ambien. Been diagnosed Bipolar and treated with Seroquel, Depakote, etc.
These were worse than Xanax. I am on 40 mg Adderrall XR and was told to switch to regular amphetamine and then taper.
I don't want to see another Psychiatrist and I think I found someone in Michigan who will help me taper with the Adderrall. I have used it continuously for 2 years and started abusing it.
I would appreciate some feedback about tapering and the nutritional approach.
