Been suffering from sinusitis and an asthma flareup in spite of taking all of my meds. While I'm not wheezing or coughing much, I have this ominous upper back pain that had been getting worse, and more so whenever I take a deep breath. My doctor added a singulair prescription last week, but they pain hadn't gotten better. I still have a persistent chest tightness that doesn't go away. This is really bummin' me out. :(

I'm sorry! Sinusitis can take a while to clear up... I hope you get some relief soon!

Hi There, sometimes it can be difficult to recognize but it sounds like you could be having an exacerbation. Do you have an Action Plan with emergency medications (either antibiotics or prednisone)? The back pain is likely from the use of your accessory muscles overworking because you are having a hard time breathing.

@HereToHelpSomeone You’re right! I went to hospital and got it checked out. Diagnosis: “Chest Wall Pain”; a musculoskeletal problem; Apparently, I’ve been experiencing coughing, wheezing and labored breathing for such a long time, my breathing muscles got tiered. Fortunately though, it’s not asthma, nor is it cardiac.
