Pray
Think it all the way through to the end. What happened the last time you drank. How bad it was.
Postpone the drink - put it off until the next day
Go to a meeting
Call your sponsor
Call another person in recovery
Call a person who supports you not drinking preferably a sober person
Do not go to the store
Do not go anywhere that alcohol is served
Busy yourself doing something to take your mind off of it
Write a gratitude list
Write a list of everything you will have to give up if you drink like your family, job, bank account, etc.
