I have a birthday coming up later this week. One of the perks at my job is that we always get our birthday off. I love it, however this year I am a little worried. I have plans with my family in the evening and am already mentally / emotionally preparing myself to handle that (family dinners are a HUGE trigger for me). However, I just realized that I will be completely alone all day until we get together for dinner (being alone and having un-structured time is probably my biggest trigger). It's my birthday so I want to be able to enjoy it, so I am reaching out to all of you for some suggestions for what I can do for myself that day to celebrate my birthday but also to prevent a binge. How do all of you spoil yourselves without food?? Please note that I do have some money but not enough for anything super extravagant and since it is a work day all my friends will be working so anything with a "social aspect" isn't really an option.
Happy Birthday, Laine!
You can sleep late without guilt.
You can go have a coffee with leisure.
You can go for a walk.
You can watch whatever show you like, again, without guilt.
Get a manicure/pedicure.
Go see a daytime movie.
Go to a local museum.
Go to a local botanical garden.
Really? The world is full of such lovely things, and you have the day off...go for it!
