Bone Marrow Harvest: fNHL, transition'g to Diffused Large Cell

Hello:

I've completed 8 R-CHOP treatments for fNHL, as of 2/1, which was transitioning to Diffused Large Cell. It was aggressive, & also in my bone/bone marrow. A bone marrow biopsy & PET scan now indicate complete remission, & my oncologist wants me to have a bone marrow harvest in the event of any future relapse. He says my next course of action, if I had to go that route, would be my own bone marrow infused back into me, & aggressive chemo.

My question here ... has anyone gone thru the bone marrow HARVEST? Not the infusion--I'm not there. I'm curious as to 1sthand accounts of the harvest process. Your comments are greatly appreciated.

Thx & blessings ~ Linda

Hi, Linda. I'm glad your treatments are done.
That's great you're in complete remission.
I don't have any experience beyond the bond marrow biopsy. A family member had that and with the nhl in bone marrow & 1 other place, we're at Watch and Wait for now.

I just wanted to write to send you all my best!
Be strong and be well.
