Has anyone taken Buspirone for anxiety? I have been on buspirone for several years. Wondering if anyone on it has experienced weight gain? Thanks.
Hi KLP9640, Welcome to SupportGroups.com . I have not taken Buspirone but in researching it I did find that weight gain is listed. Here http://organizedwisdom.com/Buspirone_and_Weight_Gain it says, "Buspirone is known to cause weight gain in some patients who are taking it, though the occurrence of weight gain is infrequent." It also states the same thing here http://www.mentalhealth.com/drug/p30-b03.html . Have you mentioned your concerns to your doctor? If not, then I suggest you do so. They can better help you with this.
