I have been on it for over a year. I believe mine is still working.
I have never been on Cymbalta, but my mom takes it from time to time. She has mentioned to me many times that she can't take it for more than a month or so at a time bc it seems like it stops working. I guess it is different for everyone.

hello its jane how are you? i was on cymbalta it made me really tired and i was very moody with it. it didnt suit me at all prozac is very good for me i dont get pmt now.
Hi Jane, do you mind saying how long you were on cymbalta? My dr. gave me some samples to try, 30 mg and 60 mg for one week each. I have been hesitating to try it and using St. John's Wort instead. My dr. also wants me to take Neurontin along with the cymbalta. The idea is to stop my migraines and help my depression/anxiety. This is my first post and I am pretty new to posting. I hope it's ok to switch subjects a bit.
Jeanna, my heart goes out to you with all that pain you are in. I thought doctors had stopped telling women, it's all in your head. I guess they can't admit that they don't know everything. There is an answer somewhere. I hope you find it.
i was on cymbalta for 3 months 30 mg i hated the way i felt i shouted at my hubby for no reason and i just wanted to sleep.st johns wort is supposed to be really good. the cymbalta may work for you.
Jane,
That is interesting, I hated the way I felt on Zoloft. Cymbalta has never made me feel that way. I guess it is true, that each drug is different for each person.
I am getting sick of medications, aren't you guy? ugh....
Girl, I am with you there! I take a lot of migraine medication, and now a shrink wants to put me on Cymbalta (and also Neurontin) for depression and gave me samples of Cymbalta to try for two weeks. I had made up my mind to try it today, but when I opened the first sample, the seal was broken...so it kind of got me off track and thinking again and researching all the side effects, and now I don't want to try it, again. The sample bottles have been sitting in my house for about 3 weeks now. I just can't bring myself to start taking the pills. Not yet anyway. I am going to do St. John's Wort tincture instead for several weeks and see what happens. I have started on it and it seems to be helping. I hate the migraine meds that I am on, but what is one to do when in all that pain? I am going to try to wean myself off, though, again...after 34 years on them.
Maybe we should just take wing, as in your quotation, and let the rest go
where it will.

i have been on Cymbalta fr over a year, and have been gradually increased to 90mg. i am tired all the time, and have no inerest in hardly anything. I have attributed this to my increase in pain, but maybe it's just the Cymbalta.
