Did anyone start having seizure's late in life?

I didn't start having them until I was 33 yrs. old.... alot of things go through my mind as to why then and what changed? I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia yesterday and have a few other things (thyroid and hbp) but all of these things started happening after the seizures started......but the winter before they did, I was bitten by a deer tick and got rocky mnt. spotted fever and lyme disease............sometimes I wonder if that began this rollercoaster of not knowing whats going to happen next I've been on for years...........................I'm ready to get off now please!!!!

Hi Blueeyes415263, thank you so much for sharing with us. So, to understand correctly, the epilepsy began as a result of the deer tick, rocky mnt. spotted fever and lyme disease? As well, fibromyalgia came on as a result of all of these? Would you mind my asking what your symptoms were that caused you to see a doctor for the fibromyalgia? And is there something helping you through the epilepsy? Thank you!

the seizures began in 2003 all at once I'm on 2 different medications to control them, and I have to be careful of their triggers...and as far as the fibro. goes, I had been experiencing alot of with spread pain all over legs arms shoulder across my shoulders behind my knees and have restless leg syndrom along with the hypothroidism and headaches, tired all the time, unable to sleep at night due to restless legs or pain in my body, so I began to research my symtoms and talked with my neurologist about it....I read somewhere that fibro. could be a result of having lyme disease? but yes I was perfectly healthy until I was bitten... I so wish I could take back that day

Oh my goodness, I can't believe what a tick bite can cause. I really don't think that people are aware or educated enough about this and it's quite scary. I really had no idea. Thank you so much for giving me so much insight. I am really so sorry for what you are going through and I am praying for you, praying that these symptoms subside and go away all together. Here's a site that may help give you some information and insight on fibro; http://www.myfibro.com/. Please keep sharing with us and let me know if I can help you in any way.
