What is the difference between CODA and ACA? I had been going to CODA meetings and was making "some" headway. TODAY I found an ACA (Adult Children of Alcoholics) meeting. For me, this was like a Twelve-Step program on steriods!!!
We went through just a couple of readings (and then the follow-up discussions by each person)...
...and I simply could not believe how many things I realized about myself!
CODA was hitting the surface for me. The ACA meeting drove way deeper!!!
WOW!!!
(Of course, now the big question is "Yeah, so now I know these new things about myself. NOW what???)
gregczar, so are you excited or scared about these new things about yourself? i was in aa for years and also attended alanon. i love how you put that 12 stes of steroids hehehe.....it gives ya more to work with hun, the more we learn about ourselves the better has been my experience, remember hun your expected to "fix" it right away. these things take time....be easy on yourself yet honest at the same time. you watch, you will be amazed before you are halfway thru...keep working them steps hun and let us know how your doing

...because I have had to focus so much energy on the marital stuff...
...I apparently did not have enough of me left to handle all the fiancial issues at the same time... and therefore yesterday...
