No I am not complaining about the constant turns in my life. It keeps life interesting right?
Well I have been in full recovery for anorexia since about November and in outpatient since about October. Doesn't mean its easy but its definitely worth it. I am feeling more free everyday.
A few weeks back I was having a lot of gastrointestinal problems and figured out it was a gluten intolerance and after removing that from my everyday food, I was all better. Well, my great grandmother was just put into the hospital for a plethora of odd symptoms. They are testing her for celiac disease- an auto immune disorder in which the body believes gluten is a foreign object and hurts your small intestine. If the test is positive, everyone in my family with certain symptoms (me, my great aunt, my mother, and would have been my grandmother who recently passed away) is assumed with celiac disease and has to stay away from gluten.
Today, I woke up early because something about my car after having such a horrible night sleep. Found out I have a UTI which sucks a lot, so I am guzzling down the cranberry juice.
I am not complaining though. I am keeping my head held high and I am continuing to take it day by day.
Good to hear from you allee. I'm glad for the most part you're doing well. Life continues to throw us curve balls to keep it intersting and on our toes, but just know this, every curve ball your dealt is dealt to you with the knowledge that you can and will make it through!
Glad you see you are staying positive and keeping your head up, im trying to do the same, we both just have to realize that there will be good days, bad days, amazing days....let each pass by and get us that much closer to breaking free from our ED. Glad to see you are keeping your head up, im just over 2 weeks binge free.....and im slowly creating a habit to eat healthy, its hard, every meal and between meals, its def hard, but whe u take it day by day and meal by meal, its worth it, remember, inch by inch, its a cinch! Have a great weekend!
xoxo
Hello. I am new by the way but i know how u feel. I had to spend a ton of money i had to get my oil changed and my winshield wipers busted. I am going to a support group Monday. I am glad i am catching this problem early before it gets worse. There are a lot of problems i am dealing with and having and eatting disorder doesn't help but at least i want to get better.
Allee...it's good to hear from you, and to know that you are working your recovery...day by day!
I'm sorry about your Grandmother, and I hope they are able to help her.
Keep fighting and know that you CAN come out without the ED in your life...it's worth it! Take care...Jan ♥
Maedi- I am really well, Thank you for asking. Just got back to school today. Ready to start semester two. Other than the occasional stomach ache from eating some hidden form of wheat, I am really well. :) How are you???
aleesha- Everyone has times in there life when its hectic and everything is thrown at us at once. But we can get through this. One moment at a time! Stay strong.
Jan! - How are you, I haven't talked to you in forever. Yes I have been doing so well in recovery. Its weird to say but when you are sick from something else (my case with wheat and such) you just want to be healthy so its actually really changed my whole perceptive of my ED and my health in such a positive way! My grandmother is doing well. She started PT and should be doing that for a few weeks.
allee, im so glad your gran is better now. and being back at school should be great too, another thing to focus on and seeing all your friends again :-)
