Does anyone else try to use reading as an escape? I try but I usually end up becoming obsessed with certain books like the hunger games and then I have to stop reading for a while. I blame my ocd.

I read and write as my escape as well. I loved the hunger games! but besides the OCD I have ADHD. so most of the time I'll read a few chapters and when I'm feeling distracted I'll put the book down and come back when I'm less distracted. very few times I can read a whole book all the way through

@Danny_K22 you like the hunger games?? We have a lot to talk about…

Yep. I live reading because it distracts you. I just bought a book frim Barnes and noble last week and its called the program. Just started to read it. Fantastic! Plus reading keeps the mind sharp.

ocd controls fight back and walk away wait 1 min see how you feel when nothing bad has happened say HA ocd I got this one

Reading is the best way to escape in my eyes.

I love to read, tho I obsessed a lot with The Maze Runner, I think I read too much in very little time, because I had migraines and my eyes hurt a little, I don't know if that's normal.... I stopped reading for a while but now I started again

@cmr715 I’ve been meaning to read those books. I read way too much I’m addicted.

@Sky97 they're amazing, I like to read a lot, now I'm reading one in spanish I dont know why but I seemed to forget some words in spanish, almost all the books I have are in english

Reading is an escape, but a good one, do you ever find your mind wondering when you read a good book? Some would love this comfort, really wish I had your patience.

I love reading, writing, art, creation.....but.....they are passions....never a means of escape....for me I face everything head on....everything....and move past it all empowered.....
