Does anyone else use spiriva?

I've heard of it, but never used it. What is it for?

Thanks, did your oxygen levels increase?

@Sunny5368 I don’t know that my oxygen levels increased because at the time I started using it, I was not checking my O2 levels on a daily basis. But it did make it easier to breath.

I am hoping that it will help. I do pretty good during t he day. It drops if I move around but will come back up to around 93. My doctor didn't give me a lot of information so I have been scared for two months on the not knowing. I have been trying to increase activities in hopes of helping lung function. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Don't expect to feel any difference immediately. It took about a week before I could walk from the living room to the bathroom without being out of breath. As far as I know, it doesn't raise your oxygen levels. I could be wrong on that. What it does do is open up your airways making it easier to breathe. I can now make it all the way through a shower without feeling like I'm going to pass out. I can walk from room to room without gasping for air. I can even walk for 10 or 15 minutes at a reasonable pace without gasping. To raise your O2 levels though, you'll need oxygen. Also, go on the Spiriva website. They have a lot of information there. Good luck. We're all kind of in the same boat so it's always helpful to talk to others who are going through the same things.
