Does temperature affect your anxiety?

Straightforward question: Have you noticed if your Anxiety/Panic Attacks get worse in a specific temperature?

I know that elements such as light affect this, but specifically talking about temperature, not weather. What have you noticed?

The lower temperatures are more likely to open your door to anxiety, because it comes with minor amounts of adrenalin being emitted in order to tremble the muscles, to create a higher internal temperature. Also, muscles tend to not just tremble in the cold…they tense up and that demands increased nervous energy in order for it to happen at all. Knowing that colder temperatures increase your chance of feeling anxious/panicky, now you can practise against anxiety by allowing yourself into colder temperatures and seeing just how long you can tolerate it. This is what I did and it works.

I have to say that the weather affects my mood, not necessarily anxiety

Does it affect yours?

I think it does. I feel I have more panic attacks during winter.

I feel like its normal for people in countries where the winter is severe to feel more affected by it. What changes do you feel?
