Don't EVER feel obligated to do something just to please someone or because they are older than you. Do what makes you happy and what is convenient/practical for you.

I always have this problem. I want to please EVERYONE, and I have to get their approval. If not, I'm a mess.. and I focus on my flaws.
@nicoleoleol_24 I don’t know how old you are and not going to ask but later down in life you will see that all those you’ve tried to please will be a lot more accomplished in life than you. Basically because, you’ve spent your time and energy helping them get what they want. That energy could be spent on yourself. Time is precious because once gone…you can’t get it back.
I too was a people pleaser and at the end of the process, I really got burnt a lot, but, lessons were definitely learnt.
Many ppl gravitate to people pleasers to get where they would like to go in life…leaving you in the dust and unfortunately, most don’t show any gratitude. They use you, and vanish.
