During my period I get Labour pains too!

Hi, (please don't judge), I had my baby boy when I was 15, and since then during every period I've had I get labour pains. I don't get the cramped belly, but I get the excruciating aching in my lower back. It's really awful because I can't sit or stand I have to lie down - impossible when I'm at school. In one day I have to take 6 panadols, apply heat or cooling creams, take two tablets of naprogesic, and try to stretch it as far as I can.

I do ballet twice a week ( and have been for two school terms so far), stretches everyday, and Tae Bo once a week. But recently I have not been going for my walks and stretching as often due to the weather and exams. And since it is school holidays, I have missed one week of dance and suddenly my back aches are much worse. I have also been to several sessions of physiotherapy.

Does anyone have some adivce for me. I really need a long-term solution as well as short-term.

My back aches are seriously ruining my day-to-day well-being.

Thank you.

no judgement here hun. are you under the care of a doctor? it may be wise to see your ob/gyn about this issue. others may have other options for you as well but definately the ob/gyn is sounds a bit extreme what your going thru each time you have a period hun. thats my 2 cents dear. do take care of yourself...ballet is such a beautiful dance...i bet your really good at it.

Thanks,

Yeah, I do try my best at dance. Lots of fun.

I have been to multiple doctors about it and I am doing all they have suggested. It’s very difficult trying to find a method that works. But perhaps I just need to give it some more time. Perhaps another exercise and stretch routine.
