Enemy Lines

I am behind enemy lines when I'm in my own head!

Hi Ccrn, would you mind giving us a bit more insight as to why you are feeling like you are behind enemy lines in your own head. We are here to help you through this.

puppydoglvr,

When I isolate myself from everyone and start finding rationalizations to have a drink or use, I find myself in enemy territory. If and when I get out of myself (my head) and think about and/or do something for someone else, I am no longer dwelling on my addiction.

Let's work on getting you out and doing something that you find interesting and fulfilling, I think that will really help you through this. What are your weekend plans?

puppydoglvr,

Thanks, you're sweet. Currently I am not having a difficult time. The initial statement I made was just a blanket statement. I am working on month 22 of sobriety and right now have too much to loose if I relapsed.

Congratulations of 22 months of sobriety! That is absolutely amazing. I know that you are so strong and on such a positive path. Please keep sharing and let me know how things are progressing for you.
