Enlarged lymph nodes

Hi, I am 54 young and was diagnosed with CLL in 2007. In 2009 I had a CT scan that showed Lymph nodes all in the right side of my body was enlarged and then it was watch and wait with my blood showing no signs of the lukemia. In 2010 I became anemic and had one day a week treatment of Rituxin for 5 weeks and to this day my blood is all normal but the last recent CT scan May 2011 showed all lymph lodes in the right and left side within the torso of my body are now enlarged. I am feeling a little depressed but trying to think positive. I am scheduled to start FCR tratments on Monday I am praying all will go well but at the same time I have mixed feelings to be honest I am flat scared! I think it is just the fear of the unknown. I guess this is where faith steps in. I have b-cell non hodgkins lymphoma from CLL. Any advice or what to expect?

I have a friend with lukemia, and she inspired me, you wouldn't think she even had it. I will pray thing go well for you. All the best.

Hi MaryBeth, I am very sorry to read about your status change. I too am on Watch & Wait for SLL/CLL . I would be afraid if I got that news, but you sound like you've got a good Onc taking care of you. I think the longer you do W&W in the back of your mind you are always figuring the other shoe will drop sooner or later, but when it does it is still a shock and you have to revisit all those earlier emotions when you are DX. If only they could be resolve for good, but they can't when you have these chronic indolent forms. What does the FCR treatment stand for? I go for my 3mo in June and will also have a bone biopsy done. Yesterday I found a very informative site called. www.clltopics.org/index.php
There is a lot to read, but in very lay friendly terms. Does your Onc think you are transforming to a more aggressive form like Diffuse large B? We all know how it feels to get down and be afraid, so posts when you need to vent, and we will try our best to help. God Bless you with some peace of mind, sending you positive vibes and hugs, KathyB

Sorry to hear you are having to go through this again, it is never not a panicky feeling is it? This site is really good for support and you can say anything here and we understand cuz all of us have been there at one time or another. When you know for sure if it is Diffuse B cell lymphoma or the indolent type let us know. I have the agressive form and possibly the indolent form runing together, and am presently on R-CHOP chemo treatments.

Keep us posted so we can help you out!

Thank you all so much for the information, I am sure it will help alot. I had the Rituxin treatment today and so far do good! But am dreading the one tomorrow for sure cytoxan and fludurabine. The nurse talked to me today about it and said I should do fine. We will see!! I am trying so hard to be optimistic! I know God will be right beside me. Oh I did find out that it is not the diffuse B cell. Still small b cell.

What is the whole name of the diagnosis?? You will do just fine the rituxan for me was/ is the worst so if you did ok you will do great.

And God will be with you all the way, that's why I know you will do fine. ((HUGS))

I have CLL low b-cell non hodgkins lymphoma. Thank you for lifting my spirits!

Hi Marybeth,Sending caring thoughts in hopes your treatments go smoothly.Take care,Michele Dx95FNHL3
