Even though I am her sister, I did my best to raise her, like our mom was supposed to do

I guess we were both lucky that a family we’ve known and their daughter and my sister were bff’s. I never did good in school and didn’t find out until mom’s trial that every year I was in school, my teachers wanted me in special ed. So when my sister struggled with school work, I was basically lost. Sad, but this was her 3rd & 4th grade work. No wonder I dropped out.

I’m really sorry for you to go through with that. How’s your sister doing in school? Don’t answer it if you feel like I’m coming across as invasive. Do you still think you can’t help her with the schoolwork she’s given?

I didn’t know at the time, but found out at moms court trial thing. Teachers kept trying to get me in special ed, but mom always said no. Learning was always hard, just never got things. Dad said to not let mom upset me, just to do my best. When my sister started 4th grade, I started to have probs with what she was doing. Now that she is in high school…I wouldn’t have a clue.
Last I heard, the family she lives with love her, said she is doing really good, likes sports and things. So for her sake, I’m better just staying away.
