I wake up everyday thinking today will be the day.I go to sleep every night thinking tomorrow will be a new day and yet I dont accomplish anything when it comes to weight loss. I just think about it.I am so overwhelmed with the amount of weight I have to lose that I cant even get started. I put everyone and everything before me and I just cant seem to break the cycle....please help!
Karen, I think that when we put too much pressure on ourselves we somehow lose motivation, whereas if we took smaller baby steps towards achieving a goal. Then, it would be more do-able on a daily basis. And, I think that the mistake that many people make is going on dramatic diets and work-out regimes that are not maintainable for the long-term. If you can start setting goals for each day and working to achieve them on a day to day basis, rather than thinking of the total weight that you would like to lose. So, if you can start removing certain things from your diet that are not healthy and start replacing them with healthy alternatives slowly but surely. As well, set your work-outs as you would a meeting or an appointment, because this way you won't miss it.
