Going to a pelvic pain specialist tomorrow. Extremely nervou

Going to a pelvic pain specialist tomorrow. Extremely nervous. Pelvic exams are so painful anyways. I'm ready to get some answers but worried about what they might say. It's been 6 months since I had my right ovary removed and I'm still having horrible pains on my left and right sides on top of the normal feeling of what I can only describe as barbed wire wrapped around my pelvic bone. I don't want to lose my left side and I don't want anything to be seriously wrong but I keep trying to prepare myself for the worse.

kim21cheer i'm sorry your in pain and going through this, try not to worry yourself too much, everything will probably be ok, the good thing is your seeing someone tomorrow, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I hope the dr helped you out. I didn't know there were pelvic pain specialists. I have had the flu for the last at least 4 days and couldn't miss more work then the dr note said so I am here in misery. I hope u don't have to get ur other ovary removed. I am here for u kim.

Thanks Hun. I'm still waiting for tests to come back but within 5 minutes of being there they found out I have pelvic floor disorder. That's why I always feel like I'm about to give birth to a bowling ball lol they said it's from all the surgeries. I'm glad I have answers. Still waiting for more. The ultrasound tech said I had a beautiful uterus. I'll take that as a bonus lol they have me on the most ridiculous diet now tho. Hopefully it will start helping out some until the doctor determines a treatment plan.

From my experience the best thing for pelvic floor dysfunction (or disorder) is a physical therapist specifically experienced in pelvic floor dysfunction. The success of treatment relies entirely on the skill of the therapist. I've found a good connection with the therapist trained under the Postural Restoration Institute. Go on their website and they have all the therapist trained under them and you can search by location too!! Good place to start. Ask your doctor for 'his' recommended referral, but then also do your research on some therapists and ask him about those specific doc. I've found a lot of local docs all know each other - and they know their reputations - at least better than we do! Good luck!
