Greetings and Salutations from Denver, CO

I suffered and survived a major heart attack 77 days ago. I quit smoking on the spot cold turkey because of it.
Staying smoke free is going pretty well.

Anyone else quit cold turkey over 50 days ago? how is it going for you? what is the secret to your success?

being ready. when you are not ready to quit, all the help in the world wont help you. when you are ready, all the temptation in the world wont matter

I'm looking to quit after the holidays. Cold turkey? I'm not to sure about. I've known women that quit cold turkey once they found out they were pregnant.
So I believe if its for pregnancy or emergency medical needs. Its easier to quit cold turkey.
It won't be easy for me..... I'm sure of that.

From my experience and people I have talked to along the way... "commitment". Not to quit, but committed to "why" someone is quitting. True, my motivation was served to me on a silver platter... but I chose to remain smoke free. Im still committed and tomorrow make 80 days smoke free.
