Happy Thanksgiving!

I know it's a bit early and that it's going to be a rough week for lots of folks here, but I just wanted to offer up a bit of encouragement. Last Thanksgiving I was just starting this journey and was scared to death of what I'd be facing in the coming months; this Thanksgiving I am thankful that my treatments are all done, I'm healthy, and that I'm still around to spend another year with my family.

If you have chemo or radiation treatments this week and are not feeling well enough to enjoy your thanksgiving, just know that this is only temporary and that you WILL beat this. In the grand scheme of things, it's only one Thanksgiving - you'll have many more to enjoy when this is all said and done!!

Keep those spirits up!! If you can't enjoy your meal on Thursday try to enjoy the company of your family, friends, and those that truly love you.

aww! this is really nice glad to hear that.

Very true! Thanks for the words of encouragement. It actually worked out for my husband. He doesn't have chemo at all this week so he'll be able to enjoy our family time together.

Dadof3,
Thank you very much for the encouragement. I am actually right where you were last year. I am having my 2nd of 16 chemo treatments this week and am still very apprehensive about the months ahead. It is an awesome reminder that this is only temporary and that this will be behind me by the holiday season next year.

This also seems like a great place to wish all of my friends here, and those I have yet to meet, a very happy Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving to all! Dadof3, thanks for the encouragement. I'm supposed to get my port in next week then find out when I start chemo.

Dadof3,
Well put! Thanks so much for sharing. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO EVERYONE!
