Yes! I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism and POF simultaneously when I was 17. If you've just been diagnosed with these things I would immediately get your B12 levels checked, as its possible that the auto-immune reaction will go on to effect several other glands too.
To be honest with you, although the POF diag. was terrible and came with its own set of complications, it was the thyroid issues which had a catostrophic effect on my life at the time. It went undiagnosed for a year and in that time I suffered bullying from my friends who noticed a personality shift in me...I was so ill I couldn't stay awake in class, remember anything or process even the simplest sentence said to me. It was like going from 17 to 80 in less than 6 months!
Something which helped me whilst trying to find the right thyroxine dose was keeping a mood / health diary and writing a few lines per day about how I was feeling after beginning a new dose.

When you find the right dose you'll feel 100x better. Amazingly my thyroid has gone into remission and I'm no longer taking any thyroxine (although I'm keeping a close eye on the way I'm feelings). The body is an amazing where it seems anything is possible!
