Has anyone had any success with managing pcos? I'm tired of

Has anyone had any success with managing pcos? I'm tired of seeing all these doctors who claim to "specialize in pcos" but all they do is keep adding more medications. I feel like all I'm doing is treating symptoms instead of the actual root causes

Has anyone had any success in going gluten free? How about cutting out all animal by products that have antibiotics or hormones injected into them. They seem to be the common theme of things to change from my research and I just want to see if anyone has had any success.

I personally think that a lot of issues/imbalances can be helped, if not healed by treating it naturally, I thought this might help, http://www.drweil.com/drw/u/ART03160/Polycystic-Ovarian-Syndrome-PCOS.html. Hugs and welcome!

Thank you! I thought I could do it all on my own, but sometimes people around me just don't understand the frustrations

I don't have my pcos under control. But I did go gluten free for 9 months. It didn't make a bit of difference in my weight or mood. I'm now trying to eliminate sugar and carbs because from what I've read those are the culprits which increases the insulin. I've noticed if I have a large amount of carbs I have flare up which present themselves as horrible joint pain. If you go gluten free just make sure you watch the sugar and fat content of what you eat. For a lot of people including myself my gluten free diet packed on the pounds. I still don't understand why they suggest it. Low carb no sugar makes much more sense. Good luck and if you find anything that helps please post.
