Hello everyone! My name is Kierstin and im new here. I have Crohns.. and I cant be at school because mine is not under control. Im looking for friends tho and for people who understand what im going threw on this journey! Im also here if anyone needs someone to talk to.. I like to help people if I can.
Hi and welcome to SG. Although I don't have crohns my son does. I understand the struggles as I see what my son goes through. Are you currently on any medication to help?
Yes I'm taking Remicade but sadly my body isn't responding to anything. I have taken all oral medications this was my last option
@kiley_kier_123 -my son was on remicade. But recently switched to humira. What a huge difference! -he is getting his life back! -the last few years have been terrible, very hard to keep up in school because of absences, no real social life, etc. It’s so difficult.
@hopealways It is I was struggling horribly in school but now I'm doing home schooling which is better for me but it would be nice to be able to actually have a life. I wanna be a RN trams Nurse and I can't do that if I can't get my illness under control its so aggravating. Sorry if I seem negative I'm not just expressing how tired I am of having no life....
@kiley_kier_123 -I totally understand!! -no worries! -I know my son went through the same thing. It’s hard, he wanted desperately to be in school with his friends. -have to talked to your Dr about possible treatments?
We have been its just hard because my body won't respond
