1.Someone who not only listens, but truly seems to care.
2. I was in a bad way and I knew I needed therapy but didn't have time for it so thought I'd try to find a support group instead
3. Someone I can depend on not to give up on me. No matter how messed up I am
4. managing my approach with people at work, depression, weight
5. I don't really have an answer for this. Most people I meet have both amazing attributes and horrible flaws
6. I don't really know what that would be
7. I had just moved here. I had a decent job where I didnt stress about money, I had friends, and someone I loved. I was comfortable. It didn't last long
8. My black and white thinking. My inability to see that people do care about me (i still don't think they really do, but they swear they do)
9. This question made me cry. It's a 1909 VDB Wheat Penny. It was given to me by someone I care for very much. We don't talk anymore.
10. I don't have one that I use on any regular basis

There should really be an affair section along with infidelity, more groups to do with bad things that our partners do to us, my answers are too long for the rest but my motto is "Lifes a garden dig it" and "keep on keepin on" -Joe dirt

1.__What is your idea of perfect support? Someone who listens without judgement.

__2.__What brought you to Supportgroups.com A move accompanied by a deep sense of loneliness (and, coincidentally, I was experiencing my worse panic attacks at the time owing to not knowing that I was triggering them with a medication I was taking).

__3.__What is the one thing that helps you best handle the life or health issue you are dealing with? Research and application of various potential healing modalities . . . even if the efforts fail, I am actively doing something to try to improve my circumstances and health which in itself is psychologically helpful.

__4.__What is something you are working on to better yourself? Not be a victim.

__8.__If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? My age (I'd like to be younger) . . . such an obvious choice . . . if that answer is missing the point, I'll say I wish I could just stop caring what other people think and say.

__9.__What is your most treasured possession? My living space . . . in here I can seek refuge, work on healing, and simply be.

1. Someone I can speak to in confidentiality, without being judged.
2. Search for "bisexual online community." SG was the first result that wasn't a database of famous people who are bi.

6. I, uh....... can I skip this one?
7. Whenever I'm at Shrine Mont for camp, apart from my web of lies and the judgment of my peers.

_What is your idea of perfect support?
someone who will listen, let me vent, get everything out, then give me the kick in the pants to do what needs to be done.
2.__What brought you to Supportgroups.com
researching support groups because according to my therapist I was doing really well, but struggle with situational anxiety and depression (dealing with a prolonged divorce from a narcissist and raising 2 kids completely on my own after starting again with only the clothing on our backs)
3.__What is the one thing that helps you best handle the life or health issue you are dealing with?
- helping other people. As tough as it's been the last four years with each obstacle thrown in my way, I've managed to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table. For one of my friends that I met in a DV shelter, that has not been the case - so hosting Thanksgiving for all the single moms, making sure my friend and her kids spent Christmas at my apartment with gifts under the tree for them, noticing the coworkers struggling with sadness or uncertainty at work and reaching out to do something nice for them makes me feel better.
__4.__What is something you are working on to better yourself?
self care. I am horrible at self care. I burn the candle at both ends taking care of my kids and then at work where I teach in a high poverty, high trauma school.

5.__Which (living or dead) person do you most admire?
While I never met my paternal grandparents because they died 5 years before I was born, I am amazed by their lives. Born in the 1890s, they raised 4 kids with my dad (born at the tail of the great depression) being the youngest by 20 years. They were emotionally tough people,
_6.__What is your greatest extravagance in terms of mental or physical health?
it was a monthly massage, but I cannot afford it now that the kids are in swimming and karate. So I guess it will be trying to eat healthy.
__7.__When and where were you happiest?
I am happiest when I am with all my favorite people. My sister and I are really close. My boyfriend gets along wonderfully with her and her husband, so when we are all together with my kids, or when we go to see to my boyfriend's parents- they are amazing people and have accepted us as a package.
__8.__If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
i'd be more assertive or better at time management. or based on that answer maybe it should be being more decisive.
__9.__What is your most treasured possession?
my grandmother's ring. I had the presence of mind to sneak it out of the house when I noticed my ex husband was pawning my belongings to hide his drinking expenses.
__10.__What is your motto?
God won't give me anything I can't handle. I just wish he didn't trust me so much.

@ireadbadbooks this is a really awesome and well written share!
