Hello ....I am really lucky in that I am receiving 1:1 dbt therapy on the NHS with an experienced psychologist. I think I am also doing a dbt skills group from April on NHS. However I only have 9 more 1:1 sessions and terrified of no longer having this therapy. I don't know how to accept this or get my head around it?! I know I have been lucky to have been given help but I just don't know how I will cope once these sessions end. Since I found out how many 1;1 sessions I have left I have been getting bad thoughts about wanting to engage in unhealthy behaviours again.
Hello @spark- It sounds like the impending end of these sessions is triggering some feelings of abandonment? It would be a good idea to bring this up with your psychologist. Glad to hear you are getting help. Working through the issue of feeling terrified of no longer having therapy will be of the utmost importance, I would think. We are here for you. Hugs!
