Hello, I'm new here! So earlier this year went to the hospital for arm pain and found out that I had a blood clot on my vein in my right arm. No one was able to tell me the cause of it. So fast forward to around August or September, I was referred to a hematologist so that they could see if I had a clotting disorder. The test came back negative but one of the test came back positive for an autoimmune disease. After waiting so long for the results of the test that they ran for the autoimmune disease, I found out at the beginning of last month that it came back positive for LUPUS. Then I was referred to a Rheumatologist which I don't see until the 13th of this month. I was told that they were going to run more test to see if LUPUS is really what i have. I've been doing research on the symptoms and I have a few of them. I experience joint pain everyday all day, I'm fatigued all the time and I often experience random shortness of breath (which really scares me). I was wondering if anyone could tell me if light hurts your eyes or if anyone else experiences headaches often as well? I need to know what to expect from the rheumatologist? I tend to panic a lot and everyone keeps telling me that I'm going to be alright but I can't help but to worry. Please help me!!!
Friend and neighbor of mine has lupus, she has found a lot of help from changing her diet and finding a doctor that is more holistic in their approach.
