Hello, to all of you, do not recognize any new names....have

Hello, to all of you, do not recognize any new names....have been off this site for a while.....moved recently.....had non hodgkins 6 times within 4 years, I am 75, and currently in remission more than 2 years !!! oncologist cannot explain it....I had not gone more than 7 months in remission before this, and remissions usually get shorter in time....I will not complain for sure, loving life, and I am realistic that since this is an aggressive cancer, it could come back, but I feel great right now, and will take every day as it comes....if I can help anyone out there and answer a few questions just from my own experiences with this Beast, I would be glad to....meanwhile, all of you, enjoy the Summer...take care, I am Still here....

wow you are a sweetie and inspiration, thanks for sharing

Dear Mr Still Here. i am a caregiver. My husband has just been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma (low grade) last week. (He is currently on high dosage of steroid as his Lymphoma is associated with auto-immune). It was discovered after a lung biopsy where Dr advised him chemotherapy. I am concerned if chemo does more harm than good but same time i am more concerned if the cancer cells spread to his lung as the cancerous lymph node is beside the lung. a) I hope you could adv me from your personal experience whether to go chemo. 2) is lymphoma reversible meaning by eating right (based on Eat to Live, by Joel Fuhrman), could lymphoma be reversed by our own immunity. Thank you for being willing to share and may God grant you Good Health and Joy in the days ahead. I appreciate sharings by Aurora and others too. Tks.

Hi again to all.....hey Rascal 1 and Imafighter, are you still online with this site? We finally purchased a new laptop at this new address, so I can now get on this website easily, have to say though, I still prefer the old site....hope you are well and happy....keep in touch, if you can.....I am still here

HELLO there, sereneteo...........first of all, I am female....I am not an Oncologist, and every person with any kind of cancer is very different, and will react differently to treatment, side effects and also prognosis....

If you feel insecure about Chemo get a second opinion, but from what I have read, I don't think there is an alternative for your husband....I have had both chemo and radiation in the past, and yes it's nasty, but necessary to get to the other side....I have been fortunate in that I have no other health issues, not on any prescription meds, and I do bounce back fairly quickly, even at my age....my organs are strong and healthy....

The road may be long and hazardous, but your husband will come thru...in so far as food, there are many many .books on nutrition for cancer patients, etc....no diet has been proven that I know of....I followed the Mayo clinic.one which was to avoid white food, meaning sugar, salt, white flour and milk, but cheated, and the Mediterrean one, which is nuts, grains, veggies and fruit, but also cheated.... you have to do what is best for you, go with your gut feeling, and for me, it's everything in moderation, so if I feel like eating something, I do, it's as simple as that...

I wish you and your husband strength , courage, patience and love, I am Still here.
