Hi..I am a grateful Alcoholic. I have no desire to drink anymore.I am happy, serene and productive in life. It was far from that not so long ago.I couldnt imagine life without beer.I was cynical, agnostic, very self-centered. I would drink four beers after work while driving home. I always drove with an open beer. Hard liquor made me black-out so I avoided it but not always.Ive breathalized a .12, .24 and a .36 in my life and wrecked many cars and bikes.By following the simple 12 steps of AA, getting a sponsor and going to alot of meetings i have found a GOD of MY understanding. From Him I have been able to do things that I coundnt do on my own.I have seen many miracles weekly. If you really want to quit drinking and be more happy and content than ever then do what I did.I was hopeless now I can give hope to others. No one is too far gone to be rescued.Message me if anyone has questions or if you really need help call me..after 4:00pm PST...if it REALLY urgent call me immedialty. You are important to me and it helps me in my recovery greatly..Verizon (805)674-9169...Scott.
I'm an alcoholic and i am really craving a drink right now....all the stress from my kids, my husband schedule changed again, and my school work has fallen behind again.

Every day sober is a great day. Concentrate on your success, plan for success, then follow your plan.
Hey Scott, Welcome to SupportGroups.com . So great to hear from you. Thank you for your wonderful, positive and uplifting share. I went to AA also for help with my drinking problem. I found them to be very helpful. Like you I got a sponsor and worked the steps. I hope you will continue to come and share with us. We are here for you. ((((hugs))))
I am not going through AA, but I have DUI classes because of an accident I was involved in last winter. I received my judgment in July. I have gone to three so far, and I now have four more to go.
The classes touch on some issues that deal with AA (I have never been to one), but it is more generic in nature. I don't mind going as much as I thought I would and almost feel like I should go to an AA meeting just for the camaraderie I would get, in general.
How sweet that you are to offer to help others that are going thru what you have concurred. You sound amazing!!!

Take care,
Lily
