I live with a bipolar woman that is not getting any help. Says she wants help but it isnt ther for her, I tell her I will help find the help she needs and she is all for it even happy that I would help, But then when I do find a person that can give her referals she is mad at me. she makes things up about me and tell other people what a bads guy I am. I'm at my wits end!
when bipolar people are off their meds they don't understnd what their actions mean sometimes. It sounds like your girlfrind is in a manic or hypomanic state and she needs meds to get herself back on the ground. That being said you can't force a person into treatment, they will simply not take whatever meds the doc gives her.
Sorry to be such a downer in your already troubled state but you can't make her change unless she wants to change. I hope she gets help for both your sakes so that you might continue your relationship. I feel very sorry for your plight and wish you the best of luck.
