Help!

I hope someone out there can help me fig out what is going on, either from your own experience or knowledge. My doctor diagnosed me with ADHD about 8 months ago and prescribed me 20 mg adderall. At the next visit, he prescribed me 30 mg, 2 X a day because he felt it was needed. I would take it when I wanted to, not every day ever, and hardly on weekends. I told him this, he said many patients do that, that is fine. So, I would take it mainly on school and work days, and it helped me tremendously with my school, work and kids. Gradually I began to take it more consistently. So, here I am today, 8 months later and I have been taking it daily for quite a while. The problem? I am tired one hour after taking it. Not just a little tired like a single mom of 4 should be--I'm very tired, its as if my body shuts down, my legs are hard to walk on, like I had been working all day and it's midnite. I am the most NON tired energetic hyper person (before a diagnose and prescription) so I am not used to this, I do not know myself like this. Ppl cal me the energizer bunny LOL cuz I dont ever stop. What is going on? The adderall did not do this until the last few months. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

my brother took ritalin because he has adhd when he was a kid. i think the point of the medication is to slow you down. some people say they feel like zombies and like they are just there. if it becomes bothersome i would talk to your doctor and see if it is normal or if you need to take something else. i wouldnt like feeling that way. i am bipolar and my doctor put me on a mood stabilizer with my antidepressant and the mood stabilizer made me want to sleep all the time i called the pharmacy and the doctor the pharmacy said all mood stabilizers do that and my doctor said i either take it or i dont. well i decided i dont because i am not going to sleep my life away. there is to much to do and to much important stuff. i definately would talk to your doctor if need be.
