Hey everyone. I just found out i have HSV-2. How do i tell my partner that i have it? I am really afraid to tell him,but i know i have too. Please help me.

Yes you do have to but maybe he was the one who have it to you. Educate yourself and him. Once you really educate yourself and understand the virus it's not that big of a deal. He should get tested asap as well. It is very scary to tell someone but with the right facts you will get through it. Good luck!

Confront it head on girl. I told my bf right away and of course he was shocked initially, but he wasn't mad at all and was really understanding about it. Give the facts and try not to present it in a "terrible this is the end of the world" manner. If you seem calm or at least mostly calm he is more likely to have a positive reaction. Definitely make sure he is tested because he could have given it to you. He could be a carrier and never have outbreaks.

@PositiveSpinOnLife . How can I tell if he gave it to me? Is there a way to tell? How can I find out if he is a carrier? I’m so afraid that I’ve given it to him.
