Hey ladies! Most of us learn how to manage our symptoms by learning from other women who have paved the way before us. So I wanted to share something I recently learned from another endowarrior and implemented myself with significant success. I cut out caffeine (with the exception of chocolate) for the last month. From what I had read, caffeine is weird in that if we drink it at any point during the month, it can increase the pain and inflammation from the endo during our period (which is when it all hurts the most). Thus no caffeine for a month, and this period has been one of the least painful periods I have had in years. Which is to say, instead of taking prescription strength NSAIDs, I am able to take OTC ones. I also don't feel the need to meld with my heating pad all day long!

Good for you, Rainey! I will tell my daughter about the caffeine. She has endo, also, and is a Starbucks addict. So glad that this has helped you. You deserve a break!

@Marinewife Thank you! I hope she finds relief too. I’ve actually been up and about (mostly kitchen work) this monthly annoyance instead of my usual bedridden, so it’s been a nice change of pace.
