Hi everyone. Feeling scared. Need encouragement. Had 5 month rituxan/bendimustine Went in remission for follicular lymphoma. It's only beem 9 months and Had swelling after flight to my right leg. In primary leg groin site Dr did a ct scan. Return enlarged in rt groin. Now she wants a pet scan /possible biopsy if suspected aggressive. What does this mean. I got email. Unable to speak with her tonight. Really trust her. But scared.

Hey there, since yesterday have you heard anything? You are in our thoughts. Hugs and love to you!

@JoaniS....hang tough!...until you get tests and results you'll never know what exactly it is....Day at a time.....maybe its nothing related to your cancer....I hope so!...keep us posted, and keep sharing what your thinking and feeling!

Keep the faith

@JoaniS... It's natural to be scared. As @Irishfighter suggested, take it one day at a time. Hope you reached out to your doctor. It's better to know the results then to let whatever is bothering you, viscerally and psychologically, fester. It helped me to develop a mantra to get me through tough times. It helps to relax if you focus on your breathing. You can do this. And you have our support, whenever you need us. Please stay in touch. Best JP

Hi Everyone,
Well...i did speak to my oncologist and she was relieved that my leg swelling was only a short duration. She said my ct really wasn't bad..."very little diease"....HA........but she felt a pet scan was necessary. So i had it yesterday. So I am now waiting again..she said maybe just rituxan, maybe hard core chemo, or maybe nothing. More will be revealed. I am still working and i have been feeling so much better after my 5 months of rituxan and bendemustine. I had terrible stomach cramps/fatigue. Since then i walk with my friend 6 miles everday.. So finding out i have a recurrance so soon is so discouraging. I appreciate all your suggestion and support. JP what is your mantra? I love Yoga but have neglected it since i walk every morning for two hours. I am sure i need to. Having the pet scan was not pleasent next time i will take a full dose of xanax. I need to get back to it... Thank you all for your encouragement and support.

@JoaniS My mantra is “Be calm, stay strong”. Feel free to use it or develop one that resonates with you. Yoga & walking don’t have to be mutually exclusive. You can alternate or incorporate a shorten version of the yoga routine with a 3 or 4 mile walk instead of doing 6 miles everyday. Try to be flexible with your regimen. It keeps things fresh.

omg...how do i remove two replys...lol

@JoaniS You can send a PM to SupportGroups requesting to remove the duplicate responses. You can also Flag the dupes, which is a passive way of alerting SG to remove it.
