hi everyone, my first time here, getting confused if my elderly father is beginning dementia or his loss of memory is due to his brain surgery from 5 years ago ,or could be old age, anyone have any advice?
That's something a neurologist has to make a judgement about. It's impossible for us to make such a bold statement from behind our computers. So in other words you'll have to visit the neurologist or doctor to let your father perform certain tests that would either confirm or rule out dementia. The loss of memory could even be as a result of both the brain surgery and possibly dementia. In other words, Get it checked out!
@darketernal thank you for your reply
