Hi everyone! -my son has crohns disease, diagnosed 8 years ago. Was on remicade for years. Just switched to humira, and may I say it's been awesome. He feels wonderful , the best he has felt in 6 years! -he is finally getting his life back. He is able to work and go out with friends. -his self esteem is coming back! It's amazing to see how well he is doing. I just wanted to share this! -Thank you for reading
Hi...I completely understand your joy! The quality of life our kiddos can have when in remission...my son has UC and it's been a rollercoaster. He did well on Humira...we would have the numbing patches and leave on for an hour and he was so scared for the stomach...but after awhile he realized it was less painful. Sending you well wishes and continued healing vibes for son!
@Ntotd14 -thank you for your kind words. I’m so sorry that your son has been going through a similar situation. Your absolutely right I’m joyful and thankful right now! -It’s not easy when your children are I’ll, especially when dealing with chronic pain! -I hope you and your son are doing well!
@ hopealways I empathized with what you've been through. As a mom myself, I understand what we go through, when our kids are sick. I am so happy for you, that your son could get back his health, and get back to normalcy in his life. Yes, it's been awesome that he was able to switched his meds, and it worked well for him. Your don feels wonderful, and is getting back his self esteem. Best wishes to your son, and you, in continued good health. @Ntold14 I hoped your son have good health also, my thoughts, and prayers are with your son , and you. Our kids means the world to us. I understand the sress, when they are sick, send in pain, and suffering...... We suffered with them....... Be strong, the best is yet, to followed...... @Irma -yes Irma it’s so difficult to sed your child in constant chronic pain (of course it could always be worse) - I’m just so happy humira is working so well for him, and I wanted to share in case someone is wondering about what’s out there, treatment wise. Thank you for your prayers, that means so much to me-
