Hi i am 22 years old and i know i have herpes because i have a breakout on my lip and i am so scared i dont know what to do because my parents are going to get mad i have to go to a birthday but how do i cover it up someone help me im New to this thanks
Having a cold sore is nothing to be embarrassed about, in fact most people carry the HV1 virus (like 80-90% of people have the virus but lots of people are lucky enough to not get sores). You were probably infected as a kid, lots of people are. It's honestly nothing to be embarrassed about, a cold sore is a little bit annoying at most.. You can buy concealer patches to put over it and then put makeup on top and no one will even notice! Abreva and compeed are brands that both make these. Also get some vitamin c and lypsine tablets from the chemist to take during the outbreak. I also find tea tree oil to be extremely useful in healing and speeding up the course of the sore!
