I developed lupus in my pregnancy with my daughter 29 years ago. Had no more childrens, by doctor recommendation. Have been on a variety of meds: thyroid, high bp, blood thinners, plaquenil, antidepressant. Moderate disease activity all these years. Never had to take steroids.
Until last week. Started with non stop fever and body aches. Never happened before. Doc put me on 6 days of steroids and I’m petrified. Just took my first dose and I’m sitting here waiting for the horrible side effect I’ve always heard about.
Any advice to ease this horrible nightmare?
Has diet changes ever affected your symptoms, I know that cutting things out like gluten and other high on the allergy list can help sometimes.
