Hi Kirstin, Why are you going to run short this month? Maybe call your doctor or pharmacist and explain the situation to them. They may can help you with this. Keep coming and letting us know how you are doing. We are here for you. ((((hugs))))
what i found helpful was to get a pill cutter and cut about 10 pills in halves. I absolutely wait until the pain is unbearable before i take my next dose. also, i have found if i am scripted 4x a day i try to just take 3. i have good days as i'm sure you do too, on these days i try to take only 3x. meditation works wonders, have you ever tried it? maybe you need to talk to your doc about a longer acting med.
Hi, anytime you do something new on a daily bases. Your brain is more stimulated, when you brain is highly stimulated medication works better.
Until, you can figure things out. I recommend you do The Five Sense Therapy. Everyday, find one thing new to explore with each one of your five senses. Find five new things to engage your five senses in.
I'll call her Kim, a college girl living with severe depression. Kim was managing her life through therapy and medication. When she made the to me "I don't want to be on my medication anymore." I told her about The Five Sense Therapy.
A few months later, Kim told me, I am taking half my meds and I'm dating again. Its been four years since, I went out on a date.
Dr. Oz makes a very strong point about sugar, slowly over time your taste buds need more sugar to create the effect of being sweet.
I don't believe its the taste buds. The taste buds are working fine. Its the brain. The brain is experiencing the same old stuff over and over.
Think about this for a moment. What does the brain do in order to save itself, when a person is freezing? It cuts off circulation to the legs and arms to conserve energy, survival mode.
So, when you are eating, smelling, hearing, touching, and seeing the same things day after day. Your brain goes into survival mode, there isn't a reason to make the last experience like the first one. By doing the same things over and over month after month and so on, your brain turns on the survival mode to mental conserve.
I challenge you to find five new things to do each day. The more engage your five senses the more stimulated your brain will become.
Now, how can you cut your meds down to make them last two months.
Largest dose first and the last dose the smallest.
I would also like to add if you stay busy doing something enjoyable, you will use less meds. i like to get in my car and just drive. stimulating the brain is another proven method. Kudos to PSYCH.
