How do you know when an outbreak is about to happen? I have

How do you know when an outbreak is about to happen? I have only had one outbreak which was the one that sent me to the ER where they diagnosed me with herpes. I started to read around and apparently you can feel when one is about to start. Also, does anyone know what can "trigger" an outbreak?

I think it varies from person to person. I can tell when I am about to have an outbreak because I get headaches and I feel more tired then normal. I will sometimes also get a tingling sensation in the area that the outbreak is going to happen. Although I don't know if this is the same for everyone. The triggers are the same I think. My personal triggers are stress, illness and alcohol. If I have a cold or something like that it is likely that I am going to have an outbreak and if I have a night out drinking, again it is likely I will have an outbreak. I think everyone's triggers are different though. IO hope this helps x

I've tried to figure out what my triggers were so far I know stress is one of them and also when I stol taking my vitamins which helps my immune system. I usually feel really sick and fatigued before an OB from the 3 that I've had since I found out. Again though as @nicetoknowimnotalone said it prob varies from person to person.

I always thought it was, "chub rub" lol I know that is weird. I'm a little over average size, so I always thought it was just rubbing. I was at the Dr for an unrelated reason and thought I'd just ask. She told me it didn't look like herpes, but wanted to do a blood test anyway. Well, a week later I got the bad news. It was positive for hsv2. I don't think it has hit me yet, my boyfriend is freaking out. Totally understandable. He's not being ugly to me, but just thinking this would never happen to him. I thought the same.
