How to Deal With Hurt

Hurt accumulates over the years and affects our mind and body in negative ways. Dealing with hurt effectively greatly improves the quality of our life.

1. If you have something heavy on your heart that you can fix, fix it right away. If you put it off, you get used to the feeling and it becomes part of who you are. The reason you are unhappy fades from the conscious level, but the sadness lingers on.
2. If you can't do anything to fix the cause, you have automatic justification for letting it go. Just make sure you have learned from it.
3. Learn to give. After being hurt, it is easy to build walls. Be cautious around people but your focus should be on giving, not the hurt you receive when you opened up. If you focus on the hurt you will end up living inside an emotional shell with that hurt. To make it worse, you won't be able to receive any friendship or love that someone else has to offer. If you give, you will receive.
