I do not want to sound like an idiot, but I am just so new at using these kind of sites, and I do not want to mess things up for people. but anyhow, here is my How???
How can we all take so much medication and keep everything straight?
I just found out today, that the one blood pressure med I am on is not to be taken if I have RA. So I am going to make an appointment to see the DR.
How can we tell if it is side effects from meds, or the RA that is giving us pain?
You know, this new life that I just got thrown into, living with RA, sure has thrown me for a loop. I read your posts and it just is so over whelming, and most of you sound happy. I am wondering if i will ever find happy again? Gosh, I'm such a big baby today. It is a lot to digest in just a few short three weeks since I was diagnosed. I feel like I am crawling like a snail. So many questions, and don't know where to turn.
Well I am sorry if I bored any one but I got a few things off my chest and things seem to have let a bit for me now.
Have a great day
Kay60
hey kay, i'm so sorry your so overwhelmed and trying to find happy. i'm right where you are. trying to live with pain is no easy task. about the meds check with your doc or pharmasist they can advise best. questions? ask away hun, lots of great people here on this site. oh and welcome aboard
The print on the bottles is so hard to see, and the blurb usually doesn't help much either. Pharmacists are generally pretty good about answering questions about drug interactions.
Through my insurance I have to mail away some, but I buy some here at the drug store. The pharmacist will look at all of the bottles and let me know what is safe with my condition. That might not be a bad idea for you to try.
Also it is helpful to make a list of each medication, the dosage, how you take it (once or twice a day) and the name and phone number of the doctor who put you on that medication and why they are giving it to you. Date the list and keep a copy in your purse and one on your frig.
Whatever medication changes they make for you, I hope you find relief.
dear kay60, just a note of support from a person that has chronic pain from fibromyalgia and my mom has RA. i am visiting her and really enjoying the week off from my daily struggles with my twin sons both mentally ill. i read over your posts and can see you are really going through an intense journey of wellness and i wanted to share with you a wish for strength and to find that sweet center of clarity that will guide you along the way. yours, marnie marie
Thank you for the words of kindness, I feel for your pain too, then having to raise two twin boys, it must be a very hard struggle, but God will not put on us anymore then we can bare. I know this , I was clinically dead three times now and have come back all three times, so I feel the Good Lord is not done with me yet.
I will keep you in my prayers, and I hope that you and your mom have some very good pain free days. As for today my day is good, I thank god for al the good days and the bad ones too. life is a learning lesson.
God Bless you
Kay
