I always said I would never get involved with a co-worker b/c it can get messy. And yet I did. I started sleeping with him in March and got tested in April for everything and it came back negative. Then about 2 weeks ago I had a breakout. Went to the doctors they said they were 90% sure it was herpes. My results came back a week later confirming it. I get the feeling he already knew he had it just by everything he said and he still hasn't got checked almost 2 weeks later. I know I got it from him b/c I haven't been with anybody else in over a year. And now I still have to see and work with him everyday. Is there anybody that takes Valtrex daily for it? Looking for some opinions.. And for anybody that's had it for a while how many outbreaks did you have your 1st year? My 1st outbreak was really bad and I just don't know if I am going to be able to take it..
My boyfriend is the same way. For some reason a lot of "men" think that just because they don't have symptoms of an std, that they don't have one. He is the only one I've slept with in a year and he still thinks I had this before him. Even though my doctor said that she was 99% sure that wasn't the case. He's very open and understanding with me about it but still it gets stressful at times. I was diagnosed in early March and have had 3-4 outbreaks since my first one. Let me tell you the outbreaks you have after the first are WORLDS different. Most of the time I barely even not ie that I'm having one (unless I look. I'm very observant after being diagnosed) and when I do notice I have one it then because more of an annoyance than a physical hurt pain. I'm also 2 months pregnant so my hormone levels are through the roof which can cause more outbreaks. You can get through this! I promise! After awhile it becomes normal and you don't even really think about it. Let me know if you need someone to talk to!
my boyfriend too has not shown any symptoms since we started dating about a year now but i got it from him because i only had sex with him
