I am feeling down about possibly having the "talk" soon about my HSV status. I'm not sure if I should disclose upfront with this guy (he's been my friend over a year, so we have a history), or if I should disclose after we date, when I'm comfortable doing it. I'm confused as to when is "right", and it's causing me anxiety over whether he would accept me or not. I also have HSV additionally, so it would be a challenging conversation :(

I found out when I was going to get birth control from the doctor, who told me. I wasn't even getting screened for it, and it had never shown up before. that was a few years after the HSV diagnosis.
