I am new to this site. I have PTSD mostly from my childhood. My question is, has anyone else had a flashback regarding how someone says something a certain way? This happened to me tonight, and then the fear that overcame me was so sudden. When I usually relive some past event it does not usually come in the way tonight's did.
I don't have flashbacks when certain things are said but do know how you feel. I get flash backs when I see something similar to my car accident ask year. Can't seem to shake today's flashback still

So sorry to hear that. Usually mine come back in the same way as yours, but today was different for some reason. I just hope it never happens again.

Yea same here my fiancé now knows what not to do, but I will see what happens. It's hard to talk to him about it sometimes cuz I feel alone when I get these feelings even though he is always here for me

I have flashbacks all the time and currently I am very 'hyposensitive'. Sometimes a certain place or a word/phrase someone says and sometimes even when someone looks at me in a 'certain' way. So you're no the alone. I honestly hope you're feeling better :) and If you ever want to talk you can msg me whenever :)
