I am so overwhelmed with depression right now. I can't even really say what is causing it. I'm just...sad. I don't have the energy/strength/willpower to do anything. I just want to sleep. When I am awake, I just cry. I am also really worried about my mom. I live far away from her and she is seems very depressed. Nothing makes her joyful. My dad is taking her out on a date tonight and when I said I think she will have fun, her response was "I hope so." :(
hugs. I am so sorry you feel that way. maybe do some pampering for a while, do some things to take care of you that make you happy. maybe your mother can take this advice as well, and I hope their date goes well. :-)
@norseduncan, thank you so much. Sometimes I feel so isolated, but the thought of going out and trying to make friends is terrifying. I will definitely take your advice. I hope to talk with my mom tomorrow and suggest she do the same.
@prairie_storm So strange my earlier comment to you disappeared... I can tell you care a lot about your mom and maybe wish you could do something to help her. Let's hope that she enjoys at least some part of her date night with your dad, or at least making the effort to get out of the house. I've read on your profile that you're an aspiring writer. I know writers are good readers, too. Do you have anything at hand that you'd enjoy reading or something fun to write? Hope you find something making you feel better. Sending you warm thoughts and hugs!
@Mimi38 thank you. I haven’t been reading in a long time. I seem to have fallen out of step with myself over the last couple of years. I need to to get back reading. I love my mom to pieces and it breaks my heart to see her hurting and not being able to help her. I hope she has a good time tonight. Thank you so much for your support.
we spread happiness and we can also spread sorrow. its energy passed. if you are depressed and sad it will go to her and viceversa. we must be happy first to give it to others. find out what makes you sad and try to solve it then give the same energy to mum and she will definitely feel better
@kaamini, thanks. I will definitely try to do that.
